We are currently recruiting contract therapists who are willing to provide services to clients referred through our contract with the Department of Family and Protective Services while also being credentialed with insurance companies to serve self-referred clients as well. It is anticipated that within three to six months, new clinicians will be will be in sufficient private insurance networks to accept only non-mandated clients going forward, although we ask that clinicians be willing to see 5-10% clients referred by DFPS or another government contract to give back to our community. Alamo Heights Counseling pays contract therapists 60% of the total paid by all payors with no cap, unlike tech companies that require a huge caseload to get to their maximum pay rate or practices that pay a flat rate or lesser percentage—and Alamo Heights Counseling does not ask you to do your own advertising, will never insist that your contract be exclusive, and will never require you to take a specific number of clients.
We are currently recruiting Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors to serve clients referred by the Department of Family and Protective Services.
We are currently recruiting individuals with social service experience to provide supervised visitation services, hospital sitting services, and caregiver services. Visitation observers provide supervision for families being served by DFPS so that children can visit with their parents in a safe environment. Hospital Sitters provide supervision for children who are hospitalized to ensure that no one who is an unsafe adult visits the child without authorization. Caregivers for Children Without Placement serve in hotels and homes rented by DFPS to ensure that children in state care who do not have foster parents have the correct adult-to-child ratio while waiting placement. These caregivers are not solely responsible for the children and report directly to DFPS/CPS caseworkers who are on site with them. Individuals who meet the requirements of all of these positions can serve on all three DFPS contracts as long as no more than 12 hours are worked in a 24-hour period for safety reasons.
