If you are a current or former client of any counselor who is currently working at AHC, your counselor will not add you to their Facebook friends or LinkedIn connections on an individual account; this is because ethical guidelines prohibit mental health professionals from making these types of social media connections. You may, nevertheless, follow our page. Please do not take it personally when we do not “add” you. It is part of how we keep your therapeutic relationship with your counselor safe and appropriate.
A person’s following AHC on social media does not in any way identify that individual as a client or former client of AHC. AHC will never reveal Protected Health Information.
